In my search instructions, I mentioned "near the top" of the list. You appear to have only looked at the one item at the top of the list. The TI.com search capability is very thorough and returns many potential answers, sorted intelligently by computer-perceived relevance. The second item was the one that I included a link for - I intended for it to be a little work where you had to at least copy-and-paste but the forum automatically inserted a link for you.
You are not using the C67x processor. You are using the C674x processor which is a union of the C64x+ and the C67x+. Codec software uses purely fixed point instructions for most video operations. The C64x and C64x+ codecs will run on the C674x DSP core.
