Normally, OMAPL138 LCD controller supports raster type and LIDD (LCD interface display driver) type to interface to LCD panels. In LIDD mode, it supports character display & micro interface graphics display types and in raster mode, it supports STN & TFT display devices.
Usually, VPIF supports raw data capturing, so, you shall connect a camera AFE device with progressive/interlaced CCD raw capture modes whose ouput signal format shall be in the raw format which is of basically, an RGB component. Data widths shall be from 8bits/pixel, 10bits/pixel and 12 bits/pixel mode.
To get OMAPl138 LCDK starterware example programs, you shall download & install the starterware package and you will find the example projects for camera and display in the below installation path:
~\OMAPL138_StarterWare_1_10_03_03\build\c674x\cgt_ccs\omapl138\lcdkOMAPL138\vpif_lcd_loopback
~\OMAPL138_StarterWare_1_10_03_03\build\c674x\cgt_ccs\omapl138\lcdkOMAPL138\raster
You shall download the latest release of starterware package for OMAPL138 from the following URL:
