Forum Post: BTSEL Clarification

I have a DM368 based design that normally boots from NAND but can also boot from an SD card if the user presses a particular switch while turning on power (pressing the switch effectively pulls up BTSEL[1]).  This has worked well in development but I've always had to press my board's reset switch (warm reset) or cycle power (POR) to get the DM368 to change boot methods.  The DM368 datasheet (sections 3.6 and 3.7) states that a Max Reset (watchdog timer) should also cause the DM368 to re-read its device configuration pins but that doesn't seem to be happening.  Both U-Boot and the Linux kernel use the watchdog timer for reboots but the DM368 won't change its boot method in either case.  I'd like to be able to reset the DM368 via software on the SD card and have it boot from NAND.  Is this feasible?

Thanks,

-Carl
