Tamo,
So, we need to use slave_loader to load hdvpss.xem3 in PSP 04.04.00.02?
No, you don't.
Can you tell me if the PSP 04.04.00.02 is supposed to work with EZSDK 5_05_02_00, and if it is, what are the steps to make it happen?
Yes, EZSDK 5.05.02.00 works fine with PSP 04.04.00.02. We have tested this on our side and also we have some E2E community members reporting they are using this configuration successfully.
What I still do not understand is what you are loading (EZSDK firmware or PSP/HDVPSS firmware) and with what loader (firmware loader or slave loader).
Please note that using the firmware_loader or slave_loader does not depend on whether you are on PSP 04.04.00.01 or PSP 04.04.00.02. You should use slave_loader when you are using PSP 04.04.00.0x + ARAGO file system. And you should use firmware_loader when you are using EZSDK 5.0x.xx.xx + PSP 04.04.00.0x. Please see the below wiki pages:

So, can you provide me:
1. All the steps you are doing when everything works fine on EZSDK 5.05.00.02 / PSP 04.04.00.01
2. All the steps you are doing when loading driver fail on EZSDK 5.05.00.02 / PSP 04.04.00.02
