Forum Post: Differences between Line In and Microphone

Hi

1) What are the differences between Line In and microphone? Can I use both of them simultaneously?

2) I want to connect some piezoelectric buzzers to the inputs of DSK5510, the maximum output voltage of piezoelectrics are 0.5 Volt, are there any differences between the case that I connect it to Line In and the case that I connect it to Mic?
