Current on the 1.5V rail of my board (which includes the DDR3 RAM as well as 8168 1.5V supply, at the u-boot prompt (i.e. DDR should be totally idle), is 0.940A at about 35C case temperature.
This is a plausible number relative to the spreadsheet; it leaves about 60mA for each idle RAM chip, which seems reasonable.
When I reduce the DDR clock to 400 MHz, using the DDR_PLL_400 define in clocks_ti816x.h, the current drops only to 0.918 A, which is basically nothing. I'll see if I can probe the DDR clock and verify the frequency.
