After making changes to the GPMC configuration settings in u-boot we are able to get u-boot to run from RAM and to write the u-boot image into the NOR at address 0x08000000. We are unable to boot from NOR. It seems like the ROM boot is finding u-boot because the boot sequence does not continue but u-boot is not executing. If we change the GPMC configuration settings to the default settings (boot settings) then we can not reliable read or write to the NOR. The TRM has a caution note on page 2118 about using internal boot code to change CS0 configuration before the first CS0 access but says it is only necessary for two external devices which we are not using. Does the internal boot code for the DM3730 need to be modified to boot from our NOR flash?
